Enter your new passcode: [ nn...n]. You may use any keys on the keypad except * and #.
When prompted, enter the passcode again: [ nn...n]
Press [6] for the Passcode menu.
Press [3] to change the Manager passcode.
Enter your new passcode: [ nn...n]. You may use any keys on the keypad except * and #.
When prompted, enter the passcode again.
Access the System Administrator's Mailbox.
Press [6] for the Passcode menu.
Press [2] to change the passcode length.
NOTE: The system prompt indicates that the valid length is 3 to 6 digits; however, the new maximum passcode length is 8 digits.
Enter the new passcode length; valid choices are between 3 and 8 digits.

In a resilient configuration, if you change the passcode length on one system, you must also change it on the other system. Otherwise, there will be a discrepancy between the primary and secondary controller and the SDS synchronization will fail.
CAUTION: All passcodes on the system will be this new length—the Administrator, Manager, Technician, as well as user passcodes. When increasing the length, one or more zeros are appended to the passcodes to make them the required length. For example, if a subscriber's passcode is 8220 and the length is increased by one, the new passcode will become 82200. When decreasing the length, trailing digits must be removed from the existing passwords. For example, if a password is 678954 and the length decreases by two, the new passcode becomes 6789. Notify all subscribers before making passcode length changes.
